Lion Fish

Ok i posted a thread about my lion fish earlier, my all my readings are at 0 and my saltinity is 1.29. I was watching him today and he still seemed kind of weird. When he jolts from the top to the bottom it looks like scales are falling off him, or something because it puts a bunch of clear stuff floating in the water when he does it every so often, any ideas on what this could be?

How is his appetite? What do you feed?
What size tank and what other inhabitants in the tank?

ive had him about 6 months, and i gotta 55 gallons tank, hes only about 4 inches but other than that i gotta bout 6 pounds of live rock, a chocolate chip star fish, damsel, and a trigger fish, i feed him ghost shrimp.

What do you consider "every so often"? Lionfish and scorpionfish, etc shed their skin from time to time to rid themselves of algae growing on them from sitting in wait for long hours. Although if this is happening many times a day for example, something is not right.

No its only happened twice, that ive seen once today and once a few days ago.

possibly trying to spawn? i dunno but had to throw that in..

the trigger could be bothering him and maybe he is stressing?

why would the trigger be bothering him? He goes after it when it gets too close?
