I Just Got My Lion At The Local Fs And The Fella Said He Was Eating One Fish A Day(silver)
He Ate The First Day He Was At My House.
Now He Doesn't Approach Food And Just Hangs Facing Down To The Sand For Most Of The Time.
The Fish Is Also Shaking Its Front Fins Like Its Cold Or Something.
When He Came Home He Hung Out In The Middle.
Even Got Along With My Clown Trigger And Puffer.
No Contest For Food And Ruffhouse Acts From Trigger.
Im Puzzled By This And Dont Want To Lose The Fish.
I Also Just Found Out Triggers Not Good Mates.
The Lion Is Much Much Larger Than The Trigger Is This A Sickness Or A Bully Problem. The Tank Is 125 Gal.
But With This Activity I Could Keep It In A Contact Solution Container

What are the water parameters like temp, ph, sg, am, nitrites, nitrates, alk?
Are there any other tankmates besides the trigger? what kind of trigger is it? What kind of Lionfish is it?

The Temp Is About 78 And The Water Should Be Ok As Of Yesterday.
Ive Been Watching It Close Since I Have A Concern.
The Trigger Is A Clown And Others Include A Skunk Grouper Porc. Puffer
The Type Of Lion Is Volitan.
If You Think You Know What This Is Could You Please List In Detail What I Should Do. Id Hate To Lose This Good Size Lion As My First Death In The Tank

1st off, I'd keep an eye on that lions fins. If you start seeing them torn that means the triggers are attacking him. If that's the case then you must remove either the lion or triggers. They won't get along and the lion will be killed over time.
As for the feeding I wouldn't be concerned. When a lion is first bought it can take awhile to get it to eat. If it doesn't seem interested in silversides, try live food. I'd highly recommend ghost shrimp, but you can also use feeder fish for a short while. The basic idea is to get it use to a situation that it can recognize as "feeding time". Many use a feeder stick, I use a net. When it's time to feed my lion I turn off my powerheads and put the food in the net. My little dwarf swims right into the net to get it. With the net I can also prevent other fish from outcompeteing him for food. Basically just design a system of feeding and stick with it. Try so live food for a week or 2, then once the lion gets the idea the food is presented in a certain fashion, introduce frozen foods. And don't worry if it takes awhile, a lion can go a long time without eating.
