The volitan gets pretty big. I've never kept a lion fish but from what i have read you would be better going with a fuzzy dwarf.

I would say a 125 long at a minimum for both lions. A dwarf lion would do well in a 55 though.

ok so if i get only one volita lionfish a 55gallons will be fine?
and in that same tank can i put another fish?
or should i stay with the 55 gallons and only one fish on it (the volitan lionfish)?

It would be best not to out a volitan lionfish in that small of a tank. The fish grows to be 15 inches long and has a maximum fin span of 18 inches. It would be advised to out in a lion of the dwarf genera. There are many other options other than the fuzzy but most are a lot harder to find than the common fuzzy.

Definately NOT a large lion in a 55. 12 inch wide tank is not suited fo an 16-18 fish to turn around. See the point now?

ok thank you for the info.
now what can you guys tell me about the Dwarf zebra lion and the Antennata lion those should be good for the 55 gallons and if is fine what other fish can i put on it or should i stay only with 1 lionfish?

The antennata might not be a good idea because it's a larger lion therefore must be kept with larger fish, most of these fish that it really needs to be kept with won't be able to stay in a 55 gallon tank. I would suggest a zebra dwarf. or a fuzzy dwarf keep it with any fish equal or larger in size. nothing smaller or it may be consumed. no crustacean either.
