Well, lionfish are awsome animals, but what size tank are you talking about putting him into? If it's a smaller tank (less than 100) get either a raditata, antennata, or a dwarf. All are really cool, won't get too big only about 8 inches or so, and all are extremely hardy. If you have any other ?'s lionfish or another memember will help your with it.

most lions (except fumanchu0 are extremely hardy and easy to keep. if you have a 55, a dwarf would be good, in a 75, radiatta, antenna, dwarf are good choices. a volitans will need at least a 125 to be happy. hth, bo

All lions are awesome fish except those horrible little freak Fumanchus. They don't even resemble a lionfish. My personal favorite is my Black Volitan in my 120 gallon. He is an awesome fish with actually, a little bit of a personality. My little Dwarf lion is another great fish. Very active for a lion and seems to be a popular fish with people to look at. The Radiatta and Antennata are very cool fish. I have no sace for them right now but I am going to get both in the future. I have had them in the past and they are very cool.
