I was wondering what everyone's list of most important additives were for their reef aquarium.
Also how often you add them.

Oh yeah I also use this one:
Garlic Elixir
is a heart-healthy food supplement. It is a blend of garlic extract and vitamins. Garlic Elixir is not a remedy to cure disease. It is , however, a diet supplement that helps keep your fish healthy by providing a balance of nutrients in their diet.
Garlic has properties that help repel ick and parasites in fish. It is also an antibacterial and anti-fungus. By mixing Garlic Elixir with your fish food you are helping your fish fight off diseases.

I tried both of those, I don't think they did a darn thing.
The best additive you can do is a 10% waterchange every week.
I think additives are one of the top mistakes made by newbies. They want success in a bottle.

I disagree with tony, I believe that newbies may use to many supplements, and over supplement their tanks. Reef solutions add a lot of the need trace elements missing in our water. And Garlic help keep our tangs ich free.

B-Ionic - With proper dosing, and regular monitoring and testing, it's easy to keep pH, Alk, and Ca in check with each other.

I used a bag of "Myricle Mud" in my sump...
I have my doubts about the stuff, but so far (2 months), it's kept everything in perfect condition along the lines of pH and Alk according to the tests. I don't have a test for any trace elements or calcium, but my corals seem to be doing good, taking my water for a test at the LFS sometime soon, I'll let you know how it comes out.
I figured, hey, why not give it a try, if worse comes to worst, I'll just take the stuff out of my sump and replace it with normal sand and algae.
I just cut up half a clove of garlic when I defrost my food and soak my food with it. Costs $.99 for 2 whole (dunno what you call them) thigns of garlic, each thing has about 10 cloves or so on it. Seems to have helped some with my clowns lymp, can't tell for sure though.
