Little white spots....with legs!

OK, I came home from work tonight and my wife pointed out these little white specs on the aquarium glass about the size of a grain of salt, possibly smaller..... these things are tiny itty bitty! These "things" also appear to have about 6 little legs. Are these simply pods of some type?

I got them too in my tank ...if someone knows what this is I'd like to know also . I can find anything in all the books I have .

I did a little digging and it looks like they are hydroid jellyfish. They are not harmful and will go away on there own.

well I hope so because I have 1000's of them in my large tank

Bump. I have the same deal in my tank, but they only seem to acculumate on the glass where I have recently cleaned off the algae. Can someone confirm they are not harmful to a reef tank.

Hydroid jellyfish aren't harmful and they tend to dissapear on their own.
