Can you go and buy live brine shrimp from the local LPS and feed it to your salt water fish just like you could fresh water fish? Would this work for mandarins?

Yes you can, and there easy as heck to hatch out on your own. But you need a really good supply of Pods for the Mandarin to do really well. You can usually get them from your local fish store also. Good luck

Wanted to try adding live food but I was concerned with dumping the bag with water and live food into the tank. I don't like putting any water in my tank besides the water I make. Thought about putting it through a strainer. Any other suggestions?
