Welcome to the forum and this extremely fun hobby!
If the tank is 29 gallons ideally you would want to add about 30 to 35 lbs of live rock.
Since you are new I would not try uncured your first time around. Cured is much easier for a less experienced fish keeper.
No fish until the nitrate cycle is completed. If you are unfamiliar with this process do some research on this or other sites. Education is a MUST for this hobby. It will save you a ton of money and heartache in the long run.
I recommend a good test kit if you do not already have one, along with a refractometer to accurately check the salinity.
Filtraction is important, what sort of system are you using? A protien skimmer is a very important piece of equipment, JMO.
If you are doing a FOWLR (fish only with live rock) then your lighting is not that critical. But this means only certain soft corals and no anemones.
Take your time and go slow! Rushing into this will only cause massive aggrevation and dead or dying fish.
Be wary of any LFS (local fish store), remember often they are not concerned or not knowledgeable about your wants or needs and are in the business of making money, meaning they will sell you whatever you think you want without verifying whether it is right or not.
ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS! This is a good sight with lots of very knowledgeable folks and advice is always free!

I have 60-70 lbs of LR in my 30gl. Maybe a little more. I agree with Moby, a protein skimmer is a very important peice of equipment. Water changes are a must. You will need to do a lot of research for this hobby. It is not a hobby that is easy to get out of. Once you start, you will not want to quit, because the more you know, the funner it gets. Since you are just starting out, you will definitly want to research cycling you aquarium. These message boards are a great place to do a lot of your research. Pretty much any question you have can be answered here. Trust me, you will never run out of questions. I have been in this hobby for over 3 years and still learn something new everyday. Hope this helps out.
