heres my opinion:
tonga-usually "branch rock" not boulder shaped really. it is pretty though
fiji - more boulder shaped, alsp pretty. both the tonga and fiji are very porous and light.
caribbean- rivals the pacific in coloration and life, but has a tendacy to harbor mantis shrimp. also tends to be more dense and heavier.
hth.

well,i only have fiji and a piece of tonga branch in mine.also i have 3 "shelf" rocks, not sure of their origin though.i have seen carribean and i was not too impressed.i would go with fiji and tonga branch.i would have got more branch, but my wife does not like the way it looks.i think the possibilities of scaping with branch and fiji rock presents numerous possibilities.i may get some more branch regardless.

the fist live rock i got was fiji , I buy all tonga branch now. Main reason fiji is usally in big pieces so waste will get all under them. With my tonga only small pieces are touching my floor and it is easy to build. Good luck :joy:

I personally like Gulf Rockt he best .. even if it does harbor those horide killing Mantis!!!.... I love the life, I mean, you get a rock... with MACRO ALGAE, several kinds btw: also, you get BEAUTIFUL SPONGES like Red and orange finger and ball sponges... also AWSOME feather duster, and WAYYYY better coraline growth than figi or caribean.... coraline that is Deep purple and red and orange.... coraline that grows thick and far!!!... you also cant beat getting FREE CORALLLLL HITCHHIKERS!!!... like Lace coral, galaxia, Brains, plates, bubbles and immature Favia corals... also the red reef corals like... well im not sure theirrr names... Ill get back to that! lol, and you also get awsome hitchhikers like small snails like welks and naisarious snails (spelling?) also you get hermits sometimes, as well as slugs... some not reef safe and baby starfish that are reef safe... I have even got sea squirts... they will survive if you give them food like Phyto... YOU JUST CANT BEAT THE STUFF!!!
but thats just me, and if I couldnt get THE gulf rock I would get aquacultured... or figi... or tonga, but it has to be someee more kind of BANGEN' looken rock!! IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN !!!
well.. thats just my 2Cents worth... good luck picking rocks!
