Live Rock Concern

Water quality in my small tank is excellent.
However, My live rock does not seem at colorful as when I first got it. It seems to have shrunk and little thorns are coming out.
It has also lost its fluroscent green color.
Is this normal or is there somethings lacking in my tank?
Can the liverock eventually die off?

Are you sure you are talking about live rock? It sounds more like a hard coral of some type,maybe a brain or hammer, that is receding or dieing,exposing it skeleton. Live rock does not shrink. Describe it better. Also there is no flo green live rock that I know of.
