Live rock for FOWLR

I was reading right now and came across a question. If your planing on doing a FOWLR to you still need 1.5-2LBS per gal? My tank is 6 ft long and I read that some people said that it would be ok for a Blue Hippo tang.....I though they needed a decent amount of swimming room??? wouldnt 1.5-2LBS of rock per gallon take away a lot of the swimming room???

It has more benefit than the space it takes up.

thats true I guess I was just wondering though cuz I say people talking about it....but I never thought that the more rock you have the better filter it will provide....

Most fish love to swim in and out of the rocks. It's a win, win.

i have a 55g tank with 75lbs of LR, i am in week six of my cycle and ammo has already spiked, trites are back down to .25, while my trates are almost off the chart. i have made 4 water changes in the last week and a half at 5g each... any idea how much longer till my trates drop.... getting impatant.... thanks in advance !!!
