Live Rock from SWF

My first purchase for my empty glass box...i'm a proud mother

Levels were kind of whacked, took me two days, but I figured it out!
FYI: don't cure 75 lbs of rock in 10 gallons of water.

Overall, I was really happy with the variety of sizes, colors, and shapes. A few bristleworms, some grey gunk, and dead stuff. It's looking good though!

Are there any copepods and other obvious things ?

I don't think so...the only obviously living things were the bristleworms that were still squirming. I've gotten some more green and less black. So that's always good right?

It is sounding good!! How far has the ammonia spiked? Try to keep it under 1ppm. Do you have water mixed?

I just posted this question under a new thread. Guess I should have read my responses first! oops...
My ammonia spiked almost immediately. But it spiked to 8. I did a 50% waterchange, still at 8. Did another 50% water change, finally down to 3. Nitrites started to come up today (3 days later) but ammonia is still at 3.
I'm worried that if I keep doing water changes I'll just end up prolonging the cycle. I'm worried that if I stop doing water changes, I'll kill everything.
I have water mixed and ready. I have a heater and powerhead in the rubbermaid I have the rock in.

Well you should just leave it there at three, somthing is going to survive and most importantly is going to survive is the bacteria
