Live rock growth ID question

Hello all,
Just had a quick question about something that seems to be growing all over my live rock. I'll apologize in advance, as I am new to the whole saltwater thing, and I guess I'm just excited to see all the cool stuff growing and coming out since my tank cycled. Anyways, it looks like a small stem with a ball on the end, and the whole thing is bright red. There are growing everywhere and I was just curious if someone could ID it for me. Thanks!

Sorry, I don't. I have a digi camera, but it won't focus closely enough to get a good picture.

Will do. I'm also going to attempt to get the best pic I can after work today and post it, but it may not be much help at all.

Thanks, I did not know that.
I was thinking bright red, like fire engine red.

Thanks for the link, but what I have is definitely not aptasia. From a distance, it looks like bright red dots...when you get closer, you can see that some of them are raised off the rock, and some look like they have a little stem with a knob on the end. I'm still trying to get a decent pic.

I have the same things on my LR. When I touch them it is almost like a cactus. It really cuts up my hands.
I also have what looks like trees growing from a piece of Tonga in my tank, and it feels kind of slimy. My Algea blenny uses it as a bed. I have ok pics of it and I will try to upload them.
