Live rock has icing?

Can anyone tell me what the white cake icing on a end of cycle new tank is?
I can't post a picture but it looks exactly like white icing on a cake

I think it is the coraline dying. I believe it is normal in a new tank/cycling tank and will grow back.

I agree, it sounds like the coraline is dying off. Once the tank gets established should grow back.
