Well the 100 gallon tank is going on ---- so I need to find a home for about 50lbs of figi and 20lbs of tonga branch. The fiji is $4.00 a pound and the Tonga is $4.50 a pound.
I am in DFW but I can ship at your expense

The last time I checked this was a classifieds section. Which is for selling your items. I don't understand why people comment on things that they are not interested in buying.

Well maybe if the rock was less than $4.00LB shipped then I would be interested, but since it is cheaper to buy the rock on this FREE site I was making a point. People who use this site by selling the exact things that this site sells for more expensive are taking advantage of SWF which is rude in my opinion ( thank god I am entitled to it )

rock has been in tank for 3 years; mushrooms, polyps, snails, hermits and all kinds of other stuff...

Hey Dock, I remember seeing that live rock it looked like good stuff, lots of corraline. If I had room I'd be interested no doubt.
jlem: its good quality live rock and the price is not bad, if someone didn't want to buy as much liverock as you have to with one of the live rock packages on saltwaterfish.com then this would be a good alternative for them if they just needed a few pieces.
Also it is rude in my opinion to antagonize a seller, the trading and classifieds is here for buyers and sellers, not for nay sayers to nit pick. If you want to complain about people charging too much go pay my LFS a visit, you'd cry your eyes out.

I am helping people out by helping them get better deals. I don't want to pay more for something and I doubt if other people do to. If somebody doesn't know what's a good deal then why even have this forum. The boards are here to help people out and I am doing nothing different. I don't have to watch somebody sell rock for more than what THIS free site sells it for because I don't think people should sell rock for more than the site sells it for.
Like I said, I am helping people make the best decision for their money. I have time to do it so why not, the person who saves money thanks me I am sure.

first problem right there.
She is charging less than the site charges minus the shipping, and the Tonga rock isn' even for sale on this site!
You know what, if you want to save people money why don't you take a bunch of aquarists over to Fiji, rent a boat, and just get your own live rock. Because someone will always have it for cheaper and someone will always have it for more.
I don't see why its such a big deal, I think if someone wants it shipped they should have to pay for it because they aren't getting it from SWF.com and they aren't getting fully cured live rock thats been in an aquarium for 3 years.
Also not to mention that when you get live rock from SWF.com you can get any number of hitchhikers, many of which are not beneficial.
Its a good deal for locals (me) and if you just feel like attacking her for trying to move some liverock without getting completely ripped off then I guess that just shows everyone what kind of a person you are.
You may think you are helping potential buyers but did you ever think that you are hurting the seller? They can't always compete with a corporation like walmart or SWF.com in this case and they are people too. They have to make a living too.

So now this forum should be a FREE message board used by people to make a living off of. That will shut this forum down really quick.
After somebody ships that rock and pays 2 bucks more a pound for overnight shipping do you thing it will have any less die off than the SWF stuff will.

She's trying to sell live rock not make a living, and if she sells it local there will be very little to no die off.
If she ends up having to pay people to take her live rock to satisfy people like you then her income is going to take a hit because thats money out of her pocket.

Very true. If she does not ship then it is at least as good as SWF.com, if not better. But then again I never said different. You must have really misread what I wrote.

Why attack people for posting their opinions?
I hope if I ever get ready to buy something from this site, and there is a better deal else, JLEM will let me know.
There is nothing wrong with people having all the information.
Like someone else said, if you are local and buying a small amount, it is a good deal.
If you are paying shipping it may not be a good deal, but let the buyer have all the information and make his decision based on that.
If I were selling 6 tangs for $30 a piece, and someone on this board wanted to buy them and put them in 30 gallon, there would be 100s of post telling that person not to buy the tangs.
Good luck in selling the rock, and I hope it woks out best for both the buyer and seller.
