live rock help

will it hurt anything to scrub the live rock that is in my tank to get the hairy brown and gray stuff off

It won't hurt, I usually do it when I do a water change so I can siphon it out.

It won't hurt anything, use some old tank water when you do a water change and scrub it.. it will help for a little while but it it's a nutrient problem that's causing it then it will come right back.

:cheer: in think know what made it happen it was my phosphates and i was using tap water changed to ro/di and put a spung in to will take the phosphates did i do the right thing

:happyfish I think this place is the best you dont have to think is your lfs just bolwing you off to get you to leave them alone or even bolwing smoke so you think they know what they are taking about thanks alot guys yall make me fell like this is a safe place to just ask the dumn ?'s and get real help from ppl that have been there befor
