Im not certain as to what these are but i know they came from the florida live rock from Gulf View. These survived 5 days without water in the cold. Talk about hardy.
Any help to ID these will be appreciated. Also should i feed them or are they filter feeders. Thanks

sorry if this is ignorance but why should i kill them. I have a fish only tank. As of right now they are not bothering anything. Actually they are growing which probably means they are eating something and its definitly not my fish or CUC. Therefore unless someone can explain why they are a pest or can damage the tank, arent they helpful. I dont think they are ugly and i got standard cheap lighting which is 15W and they are doing fine. WELL...there is a reason they are called PESTS...one day you have 1..then there are 2...then 3...then 10....shall I go on.......they will take over your tank before you know what happened.....and they sting
it's your tank though....

I thought the same when I first started... Then I decided that they needed to go when they like DOUBLED population over night!!! YUCK!
I got joes juice and they never came back.
If you don't wanna use chemical, you can try the peppermint shrimps but I don't know whats in your FOWLR tank, so they may get eaten. Also, sometimes the shrimp are lazy and don't eat anything but fish food. Little brats...

Honestly they look like light bulb anemone's to me not regular aptaisia. I have alot of gulf rock and I have 4 light bulb anemone's in my tank and they have grown are beautiful and have not multiplied. So, not sure if you have Joe's juiced them yet or not (I do juice regular aptaisia!) Just my two cents!
