Live Rock Poll...Please give your 2 cents

I have about 50lbs in my 75gl tank, but LORDOFTHEREEF is right it depends on how dense the rock is. I have some rocks that wieght twice as much as others thier size.

I have 65lbs in my 55 gallon and I don't think I have any more room for more.

Just a secondary thought. The 1-2 lb LR "guideline" seems to have started in the hobby when it was popular to have no substrate in your tank at all. No one seems to mention the substantial biological filtration capacity of sandbeds. Dunno if the comparison could be made that 1 lb LR= 1 lb Live Sand but, in my opinion, is something to think about. Just my 2 cents

Ive got 71 pounds in my 55, shooting for at least 110 pounds. we add fully cured live rock from time to time from our LFS-- we wait till they have REALLY nice stuff with lots of coraline, and add it a piece at a time.
