Live Rock prices

How much do yous guys pay for live rock in USA.
I live in Uk and my LFS sells it for £18 per kg, another selling it for £14 per kg
I know I can get it cheaper mail order or online, but there is a postage fee to add on.
When I see people saying they are having 50lbs of LR - this could cost me over £400, thats over $600.

i pay between $4 and 6/ a pound for my Fiji live rock.

Wow that's expensive! I got some really nice live rock for $5.99/lb. Which is half your rate (but you knew that;)
Oh, well at least you have LFC. I only have the internet and satellite:(

Well, I paid $8.50 a lb for live fiji, but I was in a hurry and needed to hand select it.
Online prices are much better. I just was too new to the hobby and well...
Nice rock though.

I get the premium premium fiji rock for 2.99 a pound, I get regular fiji for about 2.25 , I am about to make a big purchase, the more I get the cheaper it is,, if you are in L.A. and you need some,, e-mail me, vitessejg@aol.com

I bought 60 pounds that was already cured from the local reef shop for $190

Hey saltyman I'm just across the lake over here. Where did you get that deal? I'd still like to get another few pounds for my tank.
