haitian rocks i'd assumed r from around haiti. whereas the other one could be from anywhere in the carribean region including haiti. to me, they r the same. cant tell u how much they r bc it depends on whether u buy online or lfs.

Most l/r gos from $5.99 to $9.99 at lbs
You can weed out what is good and what is not. The way is to know the company you are buying from and how they buy live rock. There are many distributors of live rock, these buy thousands a pound at a time, import and warehouse the rock in boxes. All live rock will sit in these boxes until sold and the key is knowing your distributor to make sure your rock is not one of them. There are places selling rock that is 2 plus weeks old. Ever seen those Super 44 pound rock sales? That's where they come from, people needing to get rid of there old rock in boxes fast.
What you do. Work closely with the distributors to get the rock to you as fast as possible. Get the rock at the airport. To your shop in 48 hours or less.
Live rock Fiji,Lalo,Tonga,Melanesian,Caribbean are all good in all salt water tanks it is your provinces, look is the thing.

Caribbean rock should sell much more cheaply than Pacific rock. If you are not paying $2 a lb or so for shipped Carib. you are getting robbed.
Caribbean rock is much more dense than most Pacific types. Caribbean rock typically will come with less biodiversity (The Caribbean in general isn't as diverse as the Pacific) but often comes with higher numbers of hitchhikers (both good and bad) because of how quickly it can go from the ocean to your tank.
If you choose to get Caribbean rock, consider going with rock maricultured from Florida. I'm not sure how the Haitans harvest their rock. They may be destroying the reefs.
