I was wondering if any local reefers could suggest a good LFS with nice LR at decent prices. I would like to buy locally instead of over the net.

Check out harboraquatics.com.They are not too far from you.Their at the south side of the big lake,in Indiana,I cant remember the city, but I have been there a few times. They have three or four huge 1000+gallon vats full of rock.Good prices too...That is where I got most of my rock...

You may also want to check out Distant Waters Mini-reef. They are located in Westmont and have excellent LR. Two separate tanks of it. One for uncured and one for cured. Decent prices as well. That is where I purchased my LR and I'm very happy with it. The owners name is Jerry and he is listed in the phone book. HTH--Bob

I just bought some live rock from <a href="http://www.artisticaquatics.com/home/home.htm" target="_blank">http://www.artisticaquatics.com/home/home.htm</a>
I ordered 50 lbs for $99.00 and it was good stuff! shipping was $50.00 but still comes out to $3.20 and they were large pieces with life on em.
Email him and tell him you'd like the same deal that I (ksauerb322@mindspring.com) recieved.

Capture the sea, Tinley Park, Odd Lot pet shop, Bridgeview, Scott's pet shop, Westchester, and Capital dog food, in Country Club Hills. Also, Something Fishy Aquatics in Woodstock. I don't know how far you are willing to drive, but Capital dog food has some of the best lr I have ever seen, I think they get it from Tampa Bay Saltwater. Capture the sea would be second.
