Live Rock Sizes

I have various sizes of LR in my 90 gallon reef. I get very frustrated trying to find spots for my corals. Some rock slides happen. I was told that purchasing large LR is better. My tank is over one year old. The largest LR is on the bottom with the LR getting smaller as you go up. Also....is there any particular formation of LR that prevents rockslides? I'm tired of rearranging the LR.

My LR starts about 2/3rds toward the front of my tank and is placed on the bottom of my tank with sand around it not under it. Each layer of rock goes back a little like climbing stairs. I wiggle each piece I put in to check for stability rotating or changing pieces until this is accoplished for each piece. Having the bottom layer in your sandbed instead of on your sandbed will reduce the chance of anything burrowing beneath your rockwork causing a rockslide.

you can glue your lr together, some have had luck with that.

yep, add lr, then add ls around it, it'll help stablized (?) your lr.
also, pay attention to how you stack it...pretend you're playing with blocks.
