Also, I just noticed that I also have a lot of tiny bubbles in my tank today (I just topped off with 5 gallons today)

ur water looks very cloudy i personally think that ur should have a better filter. I dont think that hang on powerfilters are the way to go. also i would suggest getting a protien skimmer if you dont have one they help. If you had a sand bottom i could have suggested getting a dimond goby but thats not the case.

Do I need to treat my water with anything?

You might wanna test for phophate. Overfeeding can be the problem or if ur using tap water.

I do use tap. I am gonna have to stop off at Walmart tomorrow and buy some Purified water. 10 gallons worth.

yes it will effect them tap has a high concentrate of copper in it be careful:nope:

Paul....I questioned your lighting a week ago, are these your new ones?? When did you put them on? How long do you leave them on each day? New lights can spark fierce alge blooms. Did you aclamate the tank to the lights?

These are the new ones, yes....I simply put them on timers and let them go.... In general,
my lunars are on from 8p-7a
my actinics are on from 7a-8p
my daylights are on from 8a-7p
I am not sure how or even how to acclimate lights? I thought I had better put them asap. By the way, I got them last Wednesday and put them on that night
