live rock turning white

Help I've had my tank up since 2-26-05, I just added 2 snails & 2 crabs 4-01-05 (I'm sure that doesnt have anthing to do with the rock turning white) Now my live rock is turning white any suggestions?? :help:

It is likely just the initial die off ... it will "re-grow"... your tank is so new... completely normal

Yep, sammie is right. It will initially turn white, then slowly start to get little patches of coraline algae, which will eventually converge. It is nice when the coraline algae actually starts competing with other species of coraline, as you will get a nice patchwork of different shades of purple, lime green, red, etc.
