Live rock

Hi, it's been a while. I made a move and my reef did not survive, so I took down my tank and put all my live rock in a box. That was about 5 months ago. I now have the heart to get started again, I was wondering if my live rock is still usable? I know it is pretty much base rock, but will it cure during my cycle?

after 5 months everything is dead and gone. just give it a good bath

not sure, i would just get new rock. but thats just me.

he is just using it as baserock. thats all baserock you buy is, its LR that has died.

yeah I am going to purchase more lr, but this is about 75lbs of rock that I don't want to just throw away. Will it have to cure?

no there is nothing on it to die. you can put it right in your tank and it will be fine
