I received 45lbs of LR that I placed in a 20g tank to "cure"? I have a 72g (main tank) that I had a LR in (and nothing else) since Turkey day. Do I now add the 45lbs to the main tank?
Also, do I scrub that brown stuff off of the LR in the 20g tank or let it be?

If your main display doesn't have corals and/or fish then I'd rinse the dead and decaying material off the new LR and p[lace it in the display...it'll be a great way to cycle a new system....

If your tank isnt cycled you should have put the lr in uncured. Uncured rock is great for cycling a tank. If your cycling throw a couple pieces of shrimp in bought from the grocery and leave it in for a couple weeks. There is no certain time it takes a tank to cycle. You need to buy a test kit to test your water. When your ammonia and Trites reach 0 you finished. You don't have to test daily just every few days. HTH
