my rock has been curing now for over a mth . the "smell" is gone,but my ammonia is still high along with my nitrate.should i leave this in the tub for a while longer n hope it goes down or can i start to put it into my cycled tank???:confused:

If it still has high ammonia there is still die off. I wouldn't add it to a cycled tank.
Have you tried a water change, maybe 20%?
Also, you have a powerhead and heater in with the rock, right?

yes i have a 802ph witha heater keepin it at 80.how often do u recom water changes?

When I cured mine from an online retailer I didn't do a water change, but my readings were 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 10 nitrate after 2 weeks.

really.when i got this rock i also got a product from my lfs that was supposed to aid in the curing but later to find out that this stuff actually kills the "live" part of the rock so im told. now after i used this i got levels of zero across the board and figured i would do one last water change to be safe that it was cured n the followin day the levels spiked. now i have rock with no "smell" and hiigh levels?
