Live Rock

i have a 55 gallon tank 9 months old and would like to buy some more live rock. My question is do you need to worry about disease being transmitted to the fish in the tank, and if so how long does it need to be quartined

i think that if u r buying the LR then it is already quarrtined. I would just put it in but watch the ammonia and nitrate levels once u do so just incase.

IF IT IS CURED YOU MIGHT BE OK, IMO I WOULD CURE IT AGAIN FOR A COUPLE WEEKS TO BE SAFE.

i wouldn't worry about desease...i would worry about starting a mini cylce...so even with cured i would only add it a little at a time cause theres always a little die off...if your orderng it online then i would throw it in a rubbermaid bucket with a heater and ph and make sure your levels are good before adding it to the main tank...
