Live Sand Changing Colors?

I've added damsels to my fish tank about a week ago. Now the live sand in spots has changed colors. What would cause this?

07 Sept 08 is the first day the live sand and salt water was mixed

All our tanks went through the same cycle process and we were told brown algae is a good thing and will cover everything during cycle of new tanks.

diatoms are normal in a new tank the will go away in time

whats blowing all the bubbles on the right side of your tank?

i would stop the oxygen intake from the powerhead..
i have 2 simular to yours and i just took off the hose that supplys the oxygen. also you need some live rock and take out the plastic plants.
but all in all not bad hope you enjoy your swf hobby
