i just got some aragonite sand and some play sand i know i have to put the play sand first then seed with the other stuff but do i have to clean it or anything or can i just put it in

If you have purchased live sand in a bag I would not clean it at all. You should however clean any other type of substrate you purchase.

I agree. Don't clean the live stuff or you'll make it dead stuff But I would rinse the playsand thouroughly before using it.
