LIVE SAND QUESTION

Has anyone used white silica sand, then seed it with a few pounds of Live sand. If not silica sand, has anyone done anything like this with any other type of sand. Is it even possible?

Do a search on this BB for a deep sand bed(DSB) or Southdown sand. There have been NUMEROUS questions asked on this topic and replys with alot of suggestions and opinions.

I started with 30 pounds of arrgonite and seeded with 10 pounds Natures ocean, it seems to have worked out pretty good.
