Live Sand/water change Question?

If i have live sand in my tank, How do i do a water change without messing up the sand in the water?

What do you mean? The sand shouldn't be effected if you siphon the water from the top of the tank and slowly pour the new water in.

OK i am trying to built a sytem where i can just refill the tank with my return from the Sump...
I would drain my aquarium from the sump and poor the new water back into the sump as it fills up the tank back up...
I am installing a drain pipe in my sump

I use a gravel vac and just lift a 5 gallon bucket onto my tank and reverse the process putting water in so i can control that. I had the same problem....

I pull water out of my main tank, but put it into my sump.
