Live sand...

Any suggestions on live sand, as in, are the water packaged bags good, or just a waste of time? I've heard mixed reviews and a few people say its easier to just get some from a hardware store, but just make sure it doesn't contain silicilates. What are your opinions?

dont know about the stuff from the hardware store but the stuff in the bags with water works well at least it did 4 me

can i add live sand after my tank has fish and inverts?

you sure can!
I use Natures Ocean Bio Active Live aragonite
for adding to existing setups.
Just make sure to smell it before it goes in... as it has a shelf life and could go bad.
Never know how long it has been sitting there!
