i used caribsea ls. all ls bagged wet is going to be about the same. it is just dry argonite with bottled bacteria added to it.

Overpriced.....you could use dry sand and get yourself a couple pounds of good live sand and seed it and it'll all become live sand.....

I used it when I moved into a bigger tank. I didnt want to have a big cycle since I had 4 fish already. It worked great. Maybe I would have been ok with dry over the old but I wasnt taking any chances. Shop around my LFS wanted$40 for 20 lbs. I got it for $30 in nearby town.

i have a post asking about taking out my cc... i will be putting my lr and live stock in another tank while i do so... if i use dry say how much do i need??? how much ls??? how long will i have to wait to move my live stock and lr back??? 29gal 30x11... how many inches deep do you suggest???

I actually moved everyone all in one day. Added the extra sand later. probably not the best plan but all went well. Taznut- did you check out the live sand calculator on this website?
