PREMIUM FLORIDA KEYS LIVE SAND
from the ocean which included lives
NATURE'S OCEAN BIO-ACTIV ARAGONITE
which included bi-o bacteria
if you gonna order from this site
get PREMIUM FLORIDA KEYS LIVE SAND
. It is a bit more expensive.
The NATURE'S OCEAN BIO-ACTIV ARAGONITE is cheaper. You can get them at LFS.

If I did the right calculations I need about 80 lbs of sand for a 4" dsb. I bought 2 50lb bags so I will have extra. Everything sound ok to you. Thanks

I am about 1 hour north of King of Prussia. If they get this way they can give me a call and I would be happy to tell them or even show them where it is it.

hey-- as long as you have extra bags, put more in... its great sand, but you MAY notice that if you don't watch your Ph, you will lose some depth over time as it is dissolved. Some people may say i'm crazy, but i lost 1/2 inch since i started mine 6 months ago. I used 150 pounds, and 20 pounds of LS. I have a 5-6 inch DSB. If you end up to shallow, it does not work, the only drawback to going too deep, is less room in your tank :) just my 2 cents....
So pour in half of one of those extra bags... just to be on the safe side...

waterrat - they should be able to look at any Home Depot around that area. I'm from Reading and well as you see I'm now down in florida. Reading is only 45 min from king of prussia. My parents are coming to visit in july and have 4 bags for me. I saw some at the local HD when i was home for christmas and then my parents went to look for some a month or so later and couldn't find any. The just went by the other day and found some. I'm assuming that HD didn't order any over christmas and just waited until it started to warm up.
