Living Color Lce 300 mod question

It's a living color lce 300 and do I a have a lot of micro bubbles I am assuming it's from the protein skimmer it's a super skimmer coralife. I was thinking of a way to put the pump and the return into the first part of the wet dry system where the water first comes in. But as you may have notices the pipe is pushed through a sealer ring and that whole section is covered.
Any suggestions on how to do this or keep the bubbles down? Or possible add a sock to the return pipe? I cannot take it out as there is only about an inch of space between the top of the pipe and the tank, and can't take the wet dry out without taking the tank off, which obviously isn't going to happen

Do you have the skimmer in the same section as the return pump? Is there anyway possible you can post a picture of your set up as it stands right now. Would make things alot easier to offer suggestions.

Looking at the link you provided it would appear that you'd have the skimmer located in the end chamber opposite where the water is dumped into the wet/dry...... If my assumption is correct that would cause a micro bubble issue going back to your DT. If it's impossible to reconfigure the current setup the best option might be to use a filter sock, to try to cut the micro bubbles....

The protein skimmer needlewheel pump is right next to the returns and then thereturn from te protein skimmer goes into the bioball shamber.
I don't know if i could mod the wet dry can I drill into the chamber where the water first comes in or is there some sort of vacume that I will break?

Should be able to drill it.....can't understand why there would be a vacuum in the wet/dry.

I was suggested that because it is sealed and the pipe has a sealer on it,, is there some ort of vacume taht has been made for the gravitational pull or is the water lterally dumped through the plumbing ( maybe over thinking it?)
