nice way to start ... just remember that soft corals love nutrient rich water. but fish should provide that .. I mostly use tap water for my tank have been for 2 years and all corals are doing great but sps not so much. I personally love soft coral and lps and they are doing great guess I got good tap water

Finally got my clean up crew acclimated!! So excited. We took extra long to feed the water and take the time to learn all the in's and out's of testing before putting in the snails and hermies... I just sea-scaped right before... hence the blurry fogginess. For some reason when I did a shake check on my previous set-up, one of the rocks toppled over. I think the sand was doing all the work. Anywho.... Here's my progress.... 27 Gallons in... and I already want something bigger...

Your the king of macros ive noticed lol what kind to u reccomend?​

I didn't realize I was the king of macros. LOL

for the basic starter newbie tank chaetomorphia is a good choice. For people wanting display macros in a SPS tank halimedia is good.

Some protection for macros in most tanks is necessary even if just a simple partition to prevent fish and cleaner crews from eating the macros.

In lower light tanks if found caulerpa profilera to be good with higher lighting grape caulerpa did better.

Hmm ok sir, ive tried cheato, it didnt really grow. It got eaten in my big tank lol, but I still have it in my 56 and 20. Maybe ill try a diff type, if nothing else i know my fox and tang like it lol

I had the same problem before I partitioned my old 55g to protect the macros.
