LoboPhylia question

I have a red Lobophylia like the one shown on the pic.
But mine is 1/2 dead when I got it at the lfs.
The remainder flesh on my lobo is doing well now.
Q: will the red flesh spread and fill up the dead skeletion or is that it for that Lobo?
Comments are greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

if you give it good conditions, and feed it well, they usually recover, but it does take time. unless something is really wrong it should be done receeding. if it doesnt grow back you could always cut off the dead parts.

here is my Lobo.
I don't know how to feed it cuz never seen the mouths or no indication that it needs food.
As you can see that I am trying to hide the skeletion under my Porite encrusting and under the yellow polyps
the surviving piece is really happy now.
What do you mean by cutting off the dead part?
There is no dead flesh.
I dont' think I can cut the skeletion off cuz it's hard as bone.
Thank you.

My lobo opens in seconds from the food hitting the water. I dont spot feed, but I dump tons of food in the tank.
Phytomax, Phytoplan and a cube of cyclops just before lights out. I dont know which part of the mix it responds to but it really opens to take something.

how do you like that pytomax and phytoplan...??? i have phytoplan and zoplan coming because i wanted to test out some other coral foods...i didnt like marine snow...i seen a better response to phytoplex

I am notorious for overfeeding my tank, it says 1 drop has a billion parts. and should only be used once every other day, one drop per 50 gallons or something silly.
I give 6 drops, one scoop on plan, one cube cyclops, and also a homeade cube of gruel. Sometimes I do this twice a day. and the tank is TINY! its only a 65. But everything is thriving.
People will lynch me for saying it outloud but marine snow is total crap , they sell it to newbies and hope they never learn about anything else or experiment to see the differences.
Every creature eats a different sized food. Some can adapt but instead of variety in tastes, I think variety in sizes is key in feeding everything. Any single food just never produces results like I want. With that said, if it fits the bill, it seems cyclops really opens up some of the reef that will suprise many people that have never really seen thier coral truly OPEN fully. JMO

Thud- no thier are yellow sun polyps, if looking for a nice yellow encrusting, find Renogaw, I just sent him one and I dont think he likes it but it too polite to say it.

i only bought the marine snow...thinking i am a biologist this should be some good stuff...waste of my $20...lol....i was going to buy the phytomax, zoomax, and chromax...i want to try cyclo-peeze but cant find it anywhere around me....but i definitely agree with you and i have done a behavioral study to PROVE that in the animal world SIZE DOES MATTER....lol

Cyclops is probably the single biggest difference someone can add to thier feeding cycle to get thier finiky corals to bloom. Worth the search. I dont trust any single food to take care of everything so I mix tons of things but cyclops is always part of it.

Sorry if I am whipping a dead horse but I just took some pics, before and after I added food to the tank. He opens in like 10 seconds flat from the moment food touches the water.

I dunno. I tossed out the outer package. Tons of companies sell it.
I dont think it matters much who makes it. I can show you some before and after for sun corals and open brains that are really shocking to those that dont think they can open as extreme as some other corals.
