Lobsters

Any one have any advice on a lobster? I think that they are awesome looking (the purple one from this site) I have a 55 gal with 100# LR and soon to be 100# of LS. Tank has been up for about 6 months

Most people say that their lobsters are always in hiding. I have heard that they can take down rockwork too.

We have a purple lobster in our 29 gallon reef. He is definitely nocturnal and we have to feed him after the lights go out. Ours has dug a cave under our lr so I would say make sure your rock is stable enough to take this. We haven't witnessed aggression from him towards our bottom dwellers which consists of snails, crabs, and a scooter blenny but we keep him well fed with lots of meaty foods. They are very cool looking and I wish he wasn't so shy 'cause I would love to see more of him but he keeps me company in the evenings I guess.

Thanks for all the advice - I am looking for some of those critters with the "wow" factor - although most of them seem to have that to me - right down to my hermit crabs.

I just took one back to my lfs the other day b/c he was eating my zoos and mexican turbos...they are very cool to look at though when you can find them...
