...Okay, please let's stop arguing, bickering or... confronting one another. Everyone has a different opinion about *****, let it be. Some of us like it, some of us don't. Everyone is going to have an opinion... I'm sorry but I really don't want to see this turn into a fight...

i dont see where the harm is in arguing or confronting someone. its not like were throwing punches. you see more heated debates on TV.

The problem is that these threads come up VERY frequently, and they are RARELY productive. So what is the point?
It is suprising that in many of them, there is a general "oh they are terrible" undertone, and yet people are still saying that, and buying things from them. If you want to complain, IMO, then don't buy ANYTHING from these stores. If you do complain, and then buy something, well you have contributed to the company and its policies, IMO. Not all *****'s are bad, and certainly...FOR SURE...not all LFS are good. Many are just as bad or worse than *****'s I have seen. I do not shop at ***** for anything (cat, bird, fish or otherwise) unless it is a dire emergency.
***** is a large company, and an easy target. There were local stores I've seen that sold people seahorses for a new 5g eclipse tank (not even set up). But ***** gets that bad rap.
These threads DO get old, unproductive, and as I do not care for "bashing" threads, are often short lived.

THAT's RIGHT, New rule in this forum. Everytime you want to bash, go scrub some algae. Your tank will thank you for it.
Now arm your scrubber pads and mag-floats

Two people at the local ***** have been more helpful than the people at the lfs which is a small "mom and pop" store. It's difficult to find honest knowledgeable people.

I was inline behind them and told them those fish would prob not live through the tank cycle, they looked at me like i was crazy!
They will learn the hard way!
I hate those places, I just go there for small supplies when needed, like veggie clips etc.
Kinda torque's me off!
Unfortunately, the 30 gallon tank does not surprise me in the least. If you go to the ***** website, their saltwater care sheets recommend 30 gallon tanks for just about everything.

I also recommended that a 30g be the minimum tank size for a saltwater tank when I worked at an LFS. I didn't sell such fish to them to go in it, but what is wrong with 30g?
They could easily sell more if they just said "here, by this 6 gallon eclipse and you'll be fine." 30g is actually not too bad all in all. The fish selection, no, but the tank size is a decent start, IMO.
