I was watching NFL live tonight, and he's saying he doesn't know if he's going to come back or not. ESPN is thrilled!

I really like the guy, but he's a "has been". I don't know who would pick him up at this point, unless it's just a team going for ratings.

If he comes back it will be the vikings, I think he is comeing back and just doesn't want to hear all the crap about it yet.

I think Rachel Nichols is already setting up camp outside the Farve estates....
Farve will be back. Last season Farve was really good. Just how good? He was the 2nd best quarterback in the league
statistically. He threw for 33 touchdowns (including several ridiculous ones) and only 7 interceptions. Only Drew Brees threw for more touchdowns (34) and had a higher quarterback rating. Brees 109.6, Farve 107.2.

Do you even watch the NFL? If you did then you would know how simple this statement is.

yeah dude, Farve tore it up last year. I think maning was the only person with better numbers. Plus he's signed a 2 year deal with the Vikes. Personally and this is just me, I dont' think he thinks he can do training camp and the regular season. And I don't htink he thinks that too. So he could just say, I'm not going. (which would create a team problem) Because it would challange the rules in place by the coaching staff. Or he could say he's contemplating retirement. The coaching staff can't say nuthing, (he gets his check from ESPN, only joking) and he gets to save himself for the season...

"has been" was the wrong choice of words to describe my point. I was not referring to his talent or ability. I was referring to everyone being sick and tired of hearing about his on again/off again status. How many times has he retired (or mentioned it) now, and then back again? Too much drama IMO.

Hey now. Favre is the summer sport season. If he doesn't make the news what are you going to pay attention to? Baseball?

I think they would be willing to cut him slack on training camp but he should show up. Heck, If I was the Vikes I'd pull him out of the game the minute they get up by 2 touchdowns in the second half. Might be able to milk a couple more seasons out of him that way.

He was recently quoted as saying....“You’d think I’d know better by now. I’ve learned a lot through the years. What I haven’t learned is what I’ll do and when I’ll do it.”

When I was 8 years old I had a kid tell me I was stupid for buying a fake Favre jersey and that it was spelled wrong and that I must have been poor or something not being able to afford a real one
so I point it out whenever I can haha. It's French.

He has yet to say anything this season. The media is driving this as usual. The Vikings have his contract and told him to take as much time as he wants to choose. He is doing just that. He had surgery. He is throwing and staying in okay shape. The guy has played in the NFL for 19 years. He wants to make sure his ankle heals correctly then choose. Im betting he is coming back. He doesnt want to do the training camp. What 40 year old would? I say he comes in plays 1 preseason game and then starts.

He did, he gave an interview they aired last night on NFL tonight. He basically said, he didn't know if he could physically play another season and was contemplating retirement if he was unable to play, they made a big point of he wants to mentally, he just doesn't know if his body would be up to it...

He has said plenty of things this season, including the quote I stated above from a recent magazine interview. His mouth is operating just fine, it's his brain that can't decide if he's staying or leaving. Sure his body is taking a beating, but I think he likes this little cat/mouse game of playing with the fans and media....it drives the ratings/fan base up.
I love watching the guy perform, but I can't say that I was upset with GB cutting the umbilical cord after he couldn't make up his mind before. If he trys this tactic again this season (or doesn't want to show up for any pre-season), I hope the Vikes do the same to him.
PS....we could use him with the Panthers :)
