Long Island, NY Fish Stores/Fish Forum

My little brother just got a new tank this Christmas. He lives on Long Island, NY and we need to find him some good local Fish Stores and a Long Island Fish Forum. Do any of you know of a Long Island Fish Forum? And do any of you know any good LFS on Long Island? In Nassau County would be ideal. I'd like to find him a good LFS with good prices, and that sells frags too (his tank is a pico tank).
Thank you in advance!

please don't ask for the names of other forums here :) and remember, trades and frag sales need to be done on saltwaterauctions.com ...

Rain,
Where on the Island are you?
Up until September, I lived in Western Suffolk, so I can pass along all the info on LI LFS. There's others around as well that will chime in.

Hey. We checked out Mutts and Butts today, and Pets Warehouse, and were impressed with both. He lives in Nassau County. We got the 3g nano up and running, it looks great. I think Mutts and Butts had a small biocube they keep stocked with small $10 frags that will be his main source of coral frags. Very cool.

PW is good, look for the old guy with the beard, can't remember his name, but he's the one that keeps the tanks running. Can't say much for their corals, b/c I never bought one there, but I lived like a mile from there, so I used their water, etc.
I'm not a huge fan of Mutts and Butts. There's easily 20 stores on LI, and several are better. The last time I was there, ich was prevalent, and there was a huge dead Tang in a tank that looked like it had been there for awhile, as the other fish in the tank were starting to pick at it. I found some of the staff to be more full of themselves than knowledge, as well.
If you're looking at corals, take a look at Country Critters in Patchogue. Prices are relatively high, but quality is good.

Country Critters has good quality as well as very knowledgeable staff. Also went to Aquarium Adventure in Carle Place...awesome, decent prices on livestock, large selection.
