Long tentacle anemone needs

Yesterday, I purchased a LTA, he seems to be doing fine. Yesterday I placed where I wanted him and he stayed there, relatively. I turned the lights on for a 4 hours yesterday with no specific reaction aside from opening up more. Lights off at night for 12 hours or so. Today, when the lights came on, he contorted himself under a rock. I left the lights on for only 6 hours thinking he may need to acclimate. As soon as I turned them off, he emerged from under the rock back to normal. Question: Is this normal? Will he acclimate? What should I do? Also, what are general good water parameters for this type of anemone? Thanks!!!

IMO just leave it alone !!
They will move around until they find a spot they like. Hopefully not in the back of your tank!!!
What type lights do you have?
Water flow ?
I have 3 and one likes it way in the back but I just leave it there. I tried to move it one time and it just went back to the same spot
I feed mine once a week

I also say leave it alone let him find his own home. He will move until he finds a place he likes. My bubble tip moved and moved until he found a spot he liked. I feed my bubble tip about 2 times a week. He does not like strong water current like most anemones. But does like alot of light. HTH

Thanks for the input!
Well, today I wasn't around when the lights came on, but when I got home, about 5 hours after the lights came on, he/she/it only moved a little, the red part of the foot is completely in the sand and is now wide open with a very happy maroon clown rolling around in it like a pig in you know what. Will keep my fingers crossed because now the anemone is in a great location. Hope he stays there. If anyone knows of water parameters that this particular anemone likes or knows where to find the info, it would be much appreciated! E.g., ph, salinity, alk, Ca, etc. Thanks again!
