Long Tentacle Anemone

I have a Long Tentacle Anemone. I have had it for about 2 weeks and all has been fine. My tank is a Aquapod 24 gallon with Sunpod light fixrure (it has enough light). On Friday night and again tonight, the LTA seemed to deflate (and sucks itself in, all you see is the foot) and then on Saturday morning, it was back to normal.
Can someone tell me why it does this? Is somthing wrong or is it normal? I read that they will deflate and move if starving, but I have been feeding it with squid and it also has not moved position. Just seemed to deflate and suck back in on itself. Will see tomorrow if all is well again.
My lights are on from 1 pm till 9 pm and my water temp is 78. I had my water tested on Thursday and all was good. Nothing out of the normal. I would ask my LFS but have not had time to get there.

Thanks.

some say that it is processing food when it's sucked in like that. It's normal from what I have heard. It should happen a few times a week but for only a short time (no longer then half a day). My BTA does it as well, but I would think that it would be the same thing.

They are alive... they choose what they want... it's not like a flower that has a set pattern of life... I had a condi in a 15 with CF for a year or so and it kept moving into cavesout of direct light... would get super huge, shrivel a day or 2 and then puff up again... if direct flow is pounding it, it might not be able to fill up correctly.
Just my honest observations of them

What he's saying is instead of saying "bump" say "Thanks Joe Bob... anyone else"? to keep the tread in rotation.

To get back on topic, it is as normal as I have ever seen mine do..They tend to do it around lights out and perk back up in the morning...

I agree with Watson, my GBTA does the exact same thing.

Just so you know, I did read it and did accept the answer, but I wanted to see if there was any other reasons why! My goal was not to allow it to die and just wanted to know if it was normal. Otherwise thanks to all that replied and I will continue to monitor it and make sure all is good.
By the way, it is in a general direction of my waterflow so maybe that is the reason (I will change the flow) it happens.
Thanks again

OK Please tell me what it means when you " bump"? As far as your anemone-mine do that after they have eaten-perfectly normal-they also like silversides-especially if you want them to grow big and split-I started with one very small one and now have 5.

bump is a way of pushing the thread back to the first page to see if anyone might have missed it. we dont suggest you continually BUMP a thread though Give it some time before bumping it
