used to have a rock with a colony of small zoas. during one of my blunder epsiodes posted in other threads throughout this site the colony died of. I thought to leave the rock in the system not knowing what else to do with it.
Now all over the colony white strains are forming? anyone has an idea on what it is and should I remove the rock?

No idea what a "strain" is, how about a picture?

if you do a search on sponges, you will see they are harmless filter feeders. no need to remove them'
