Long worms I think

Can some one help me ID this thing. I don't have any pictures but there are 6-8 worms coming out of a single hole in a rock. They are up to 12 inches long and feel around for food. Once they find a little food they drag it back to the hole and there is a poop pile under the hole. Also there are 3 holes these worms are coming out of and searching for food. Also I should explain that they never leave the hole they shoot out from the hole and feel around for food they are no thicker than 7mm pencil led. Any ideas?

Are the worms bristley?

Not at all they are smooth. I'll try to get a picture but now that no one knows what it is now I'm a little worried.

Ok I finally have some pictures You can see one worm real good it's got to be 18 inches long and there are more where that one comes from.

i have one of those too!! its a little thicker, and comes out of a hole only at night. I dont know what it is either!
