I was wondering what the longest time has been between feeding your fish. I have to go out of town Thursday night and wont be back till Sunday afternoon so they will not get fed Friday or Saturday and I cant find anyone to stop by and do it for me. Just wanted some experiences or suggestions on this. Thanks.

Do you take trips like this often? Or is this an occasional thing? If you do this often, I would suggest getting an automatic feeder. Also, what types of fish do you have? Some fish require more feedings/week than others. I think that in the time that you have said you will be gone they will be just fine. Feed them your regular feeding amount right before you leave, and again when you first get home. Don't try to feed them more than regular. They should be fine.

I guess it all depends on the fish, size, type, ect.
Some fish like or need to eat more then others and of course a larger fish will require a little more food to remain healthy.
And as mentioned above some fish can sustain themselves for long periods of time on their own depending on the type of system you have set up.
I would say a general answer would be around a week.
I have left mine for 5 days without any problems.

two weeks is the longest i think. they've only been fed once a week at the most all summer. i'm at my parents house and sinner is either here with me or at his mom's house...so the poor fish are all alone, but they've been fine. i'll be home in two weeks and will feed them everynight again.

I once left the wrong keys to my house for my brother to feed the fish while I was gone, but it was the wrong key. Ten days and they were fine,
