Longnose Hawkfish vs Lawnmower Blenny/General quest. about the latter

Will I be able to safely add a Lawnmower Blenny to a 55g with a longnose hawkfish? I realize the LMB can get pretty large but will he be picked on by the hawk? Similar bodyshape, both can stop and go at will. The Longnose already took out my sixline.
One general question about the Lawnmower, can I add it to the QT. I know they need to sift and graze on algae. The QT has been up and running for about four months now. It has algae in it, but will a Lawnmower be able to sustain three weeks in a bare tank? TIA

I don't know about the longnose hawkfish. But you could add some nori to the QT and that should sustain the LMB until he is moved the the display tank.

How big is the LMB? Mine is an adult and beside eating algae it runs down Mysis shrimp when I feed the CBB. As garnet13aj said Nori, but it may also eat Mysis shrimp too. I don't know about a hawk fish never had one.

Hawks are bratty little fish. If you remove the hawk to another tank for a few weeks then all will be fine. I had a hawk at my store, then added a few other fish, one of which was a barbershop goby (maxes out at 2"). He terrorized him for about 5 minutes until I pulled the hawk out. I kept him out for a week or more. When I put him back in he payed no attention at all to the fish that were already in there. They hate new guys but could not care less about those that are already there.

I added my sixline before my hawk. About three weeks went by, and I was sitting in front of the tank. The hawk swam by with the sixline in its mouth. I dipped the fish net in the tank and he spit him out. The sixline was fine after that, then it completely vanished two days later.
