Since a longnose hawkfish and blennys are both "sitters" will my hawk go after any type of blenny if i buy one? just curious about this combo.

My long nose hawk fish is my fav fish, I have a bleny in my tank . My tank is 150 gal so plenty of room but I htink he would get along just fine even in a small tank. I would go for it.:jumping:

I am wondering the same thing. I'm going to get a long nosed hawk very soon and after my tank has been up for a few months i'm going to get a goby.
I'm under the impression though that gobys and blennys like to sit right on the substrate while hawks generally perch on rocks and plants. I'm hoping they'll be ok.

hawkfish will swim and perch all over the tank. goby's tend to stay at the bottom and perch and blenny's will generally find a hole somewhere and make it it's home, depending on the type of blenny will be either in your live rock or if it's a sand sifter-stay on the bottom.
hawkfish should be fine with goby or blenny. bicolor blenny is my favorite though.

Don't be fooled by the hawkfish. It's nasty! I have an Arc-Eyed hawfish in my tank who seemed gentle until I introduced a fire goby. The sweet little goby did not have 10 seconds to adjust before the hawkfish swormed down on him and swallowed him whole. Be careful.
