My algae went from this...

to this....after putting in PHOS-BUSTER
Notice how its all pale looking...good or bad sign??

did you take out the rocks adn scrub??

yeah like half of them..so many algae bubbles on them i didnt have time to scrub them all...

remember it took me 3 weeks for my phos buffer to start working. look - my reply in LOOK - MY ALGAE PART 1 on the light cycle i recommended.

if its turning pale, that means that its most likely dying off which would be a good thing. could u leave ur lights off for a few days? that would probably get rid of a lot of it:yes:

this is the result of nitrate starvation. have you ever had a lawn that goes sort of thin and pale? then you fertilize it and it turns bright green and has a growth spurt. this is the same concept. the algae need more nitrates or phosphates (i dont know how to tell phosphate deficiency from nitrate deficiency in algae) than they're getting in the water. now is the time to really try to pull it out by hand, before it starts to decompose and re-release the nitrogen back into the water.:jumping:
